Specialty Chemistries for Industrial Decontamination
Clean Concepts develops and supplies specialty chemical formulations used in refinery and petrochemical decontamination programs.
Our chemistries are designed to support circulation cleaning, vapor phase degassing, and heavy hydrocarbon deposit removal across a wide range of process equipment.
Rather than functioning as standalone products, these chemistries are typically applied as part of coordinated cleaning and degassing programs designed to address both physical deposits and hazardous process atmospheres.
These formulations have been developed and applied across refinery and petrochemical maintenance programs where reliability, wastewater compatibility, and predictable field performance are critical.

Degassing and Atmosphere Conditioning
CC Eliminator Plus™
CC Eliminator Plus is a biodegradable chemistry designed to support vapor phase degassing and atmosphere preparation across refinery and petrochemical systems.
The formulation is commonly applied during vapor phase programs to assist in the removal of volatile hydrocarbons, benzene, and hydrogen sulfide from process equipment while helping condition internal atmospheres for safe maintenance access.
The chemistry is wastewater compatible and designed to integrate with refinery wastewater handling systems during degassing operations.
Typical Program Role
- Atmosphere preparation prior to entry
- Volatile hydrocarbon reduction
- Hydrogen sulfide removal
- Wastewater compatible degassing programs
Circulation Cleaning and Steam Degreasing
CC-414DP™
CC-414DP is a near neutral water based solvent formulation used to remove hydrocarbon films, oils, and grease deposits from process equipment.
The chemistry is particularly effective in steam assisted cleaning applications where it functions as a powerful degreasing agent during circulation or vapor phase cleaning programs.
Its solvent properties allow it to penetrate and loosen hydrocarbon residues that accumulate on internal equipment surfaces during normal operation.
Typical Program Role
- Surface hydrocarbon removal
- Steam assisted degreasing applications
- Circulation based cleaning programs
- Support chemistry for vapor phase degassing
Heavy Hydrocarbon Deposit Treatment
CC-925HD™
Often used as the first step in heavy hydrocarbon system preparation.
CC-925HD is a heavy-duty solvent system developed to address heavy hydrocarbon deposits including asphaltenic materials, wax accumulations, and coke precursors.
The chemistry is typically applied during pretreatment circulation programs when heavy hydrocarbon fouling must be reduced prior to degassing.
By fluidizing and suspending heavy deposits, circulation programs using CC-925HD can significantly reduce residual fouling before atmosphere conditioning begins.
Typical Program Role
- Heavy hydrocarbon deposit reduction
- Asphaltenic material suspension
- Wax and heavy residue mobilization
- Pretreatment prior to degassing programs
Water Based Heavy Residue Breakdown
CC-400AS™
CC-400AS is a water-based formulation designed to break down heavy hydrocarbon residues and process deposits encountered in refinery and petrochemical systems.
The chemistry is particularly effective in petrochemical environments where polymer related fouling and heavy process residues can accumulate within equipment.
During circulation-based cleaning programs, CC-400AS promotes rapid three phase separation, allowing water, oil, and solid residues to separate efficiently during treatment operations.
Typical Program Role
- Water based heavy residue breakdown
- Highly effective on petrochemical process deposits
- Three phase separation of water, oil, and solids
- Circulation based cleaning programs
Integrated Chemical Programs
Clean Concepts chemistries are typically applied in combination as part of structured cleaning and degassing programs.
Circulation based chemistries may be used first to reduce heavy hydrocarbon deposits and mobilize accumulated residues. Once deposits have been addressed, vapor phase degassing chemistries are applied to remove volatile hydrocarbons and hazardous gases from the equipment atmosphere.
This integrated approach allows facilities to address both deposit removal and atmosphere conditioning within a coordinated program.
